CARDIFF headquartered law firm Hugh James has appointed Clara Barber as its new director of business development and marketing as it focuses on further expansion.

Ms Barber brings with her four years’ experience in marketing and business development with leading UK law firms as well as 10 years with a global leader in real estate solutions.

She heads up an expanding team in Hugh James’ marketing and business development team as the firm builds on a decade of expansion and growth in UK and international markets.

In the last 12 months alone, Hugh James has opened its first office in London, developed a strategic alliance in Scandinavia with top Finnish law firm Roschier and won a string of blue-chip clients including Wells Fargo, Citigroup, Cardiff County Council and the Welsh Assembly Government to add to its long standing clients such as HBOS, Norwich Union, RBS, The Environment Agency and the Welsh Rugby Union.

The new appointment signals the firm’s ambition to grow both in home and overseas markets.
