Baseball Bat Bob Fiddaman - should I kneecap the bastards who stole my car ?

Car was stolen last night but retrieved within two hours by the Police (Not Sting's combo). Nothing was taken but the bastards ruined the fuse box and steering column. Thing is... and this is where I need some level headedness, I have a rough idea who stole it. Is it a baseball job or should I just bide my time? I never usually asked for advice on these kind of matters - normally I would just go straight round to the culprits house and kneecap him... but age gives you responsibilities like 3 kids! Repercussions on the lads could be too hard to bear. Advice needed PS: Friend coming round today with a baseball bat. -- and remember...
