Efexor has the lowest half life of any SSRI & therefore according to Dr David Healy must be the hardest to get off

http://www.clinical-depression.co.uk/half_life.htm
Seroxat/paroxetine half life = 21 to 26 hours,
Efexor/venlafaxine half life = 5 (5 to 11) hours

Venlafaxine in doses up to 150mg is an SSRI. Over 150 mg it also inhibitsnoradrenaline reuptake. Duloxetine is a potent serotonin reuptake inhibitor butnot selective to the serotonin system
