PAXIL 329 child suicidal & homicidal on placebo arm - source Paxilprogress - Fiddaman counterpoint

Following the initial eight weeks, 125 patients entered a six-month continuation phase, 35 who completed the study. Paxil patients took 79.3 days to relapse compared to 79 days for those on a placebo vs 61.5 for those on imipramine. Four Paxil patients withdrew due to an adverse event, three due to emotional lability. Three patients overdosed, but these events were considered unrelated to the drug. One patient overdosed in the imipramine group and a patient in the placebo group experienced suicidal and homicidal ideation
