A taxi driver was giving a lift to a priest one day when he saw a
lawyer walking along the pavement.

The driver swerved onto the pavement and drove straight at the
lawyer.

The priest opened the door, as if to jump out.

At the last moment, the driver remembered that a priest was sitting
beside him, so he swerved to avoid the lawyer.

"I am sorry, Father," the driver said, "I wanted to kill that
lawyer."

The priest replied:

"Don't worry, my son, I got him with the door."
