The MHRA Spin doctor who recruited Bob Fiddaman

COPYRIGHT 2005 Haymarket Business Publications Ltd.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), the UK's medical regulator, has snared Simon Gregor as its first director of comms.

Gregor is currently director of comms and external relations for the National Clinical Assessment Authority (NCAA) and will join the MHRA this month.

The 29-year-old will set up the MHRA's first integrated comms operation and bid to position it as 'an authoritative voice' and one that 'engages' with the public.

Prior to joining the NCAA, which is to merge with the National Patient Safety Agency in April, he worked for the Public Health Laboratory Service.
