Headed -MHRA - A small light at the end of this very long dark tunnel

& in particular to text

" We would like to take stock of your request for a meeting in the light of the outcome of the meeting with Janice and those she may bring with her. Indeed you might see that meeting as fulfilling the suggestion in your email that the MHRA and anti-Seroxat/SSRI campaigners should get together to discuss the issues. "

This in my opinion is highly questionable especially

(a) since the members of the Seroxat lobby stand to materially gain by any intervention that the MHRA might ultimately have to take against GSK

(b) the MHRA appears to be offering preferential regulating services to consumers of one brand of SSRI, whilst leaving the field open for obvious substandard supervision & hence public danger, to consumers of other SSRI's & SNRI's such as Efexor.

For example

I would draw your attention to the homicidality issue with Efexor & my earlier question I raised with Miss Shahin Kauser
Ref 21 December 2005 MHRA Reference: LQ05/3453.

Her answer is highly ambiguous at best.

My question then John

Has the MHRA any plans to meet with other activists & victims of drugs such as Cipramil, Prozac, Lustral & Efexor to name but four but exclude none other ?

Or

Would the MHRA decline such a request and prefer to deal with this letter as previously intimated by me, to you personally, as a complaint of (Regulatory) partiality against users/former users of SSRI/SNRI other than Seroxat ?

Regards

Jeremy Bryce
