Inspector is charged in double homicide
ATLANTA -A U.S. Customs and Border Protection inspector told police he fatally shot his girlfriend and her 3-year-old daughter during an argument, according to an arrest warrant released Monday.
Raymond Mark Jenkins put the bodies into plastic bags and dumped them in the woods near Enon, La., on July 4, Louisiana authorities said.
Mr. Jenkins, 31, led police to the bodies of Guilene Marie Cherisme and her daughter, Joyce Isabell, on Friday night, authorities said.
Mr. Jenkins and Ms. Cherisme lived together in Henry County, a suburb south of Atlanta, for about six months, police said. Investigators believe the killings occurred at his home in Locust Grove, an arrest warrant says.
