Stayed there a couple of years ago for a weekend. I think that you need a bit of a sense of humour. If you are not expecting much, it is fine. Was upgraded to a front bedroom (not 4 poster). Beautiful views and a lovely setting. Room was huge, but only had one electric point. Staff friendly.
Discovered the L Ron Hubbard machines in the downstairs lounge area. If you are a scientologist - the perfect retreat. You can be regressed apparently. The artwork was a little strange. Ted Stourton 'Outsells Picasso' apparently (or he did when I stayed there!).
