MHRA Communication Strategy 2010 - 2015

We are pleased to announce the launch of our third Communication Strategy.

This strategy builds on the solid foundations laid by the previous two but this time sets out the importance of careful prioritisation and selection of activities, particularly in terms of what the Agency can help to deliver within the current and future funding constraints.

We have set a clear and ambitious vision for the future with aims that are both deliverable and measurable, while aligned to our business outcomes and priorities.

This strategy recognises the importance of continuing to maintain relationships built up over previous years. However, this time it identifies the public as our primary stakeholder on the basis that it is them to whom our business belongs, and on whose behalf we work and regulate.

It is, however, recognised that the public makes for a large and diverse audience. Although the MHRA will continue to engage and communicate with as many public stakeholder groups as is practically possible, we also acknowledge we cannot do this all on our own.

So we have identified three additional priority stakeholder groups we hope will help us to deliver our service to the public: healthcare professionals, industry and our own staff.
