NARCONON® HASTINGS

Narconon Students and Staff Celebrate

Saint Hill Castle, East Grinstead, UK

The 50th Anniversary at St. Hill

Hello ,

As you know this last weekend, Saint Hill was celebrating its 50th anniversary with a weekend full of activities and entertainment. It was an open house for families and friends in a wonderful environment where the East Grinstead public were welcome and mixing with the Scientology community.

As part of the celebrations a fantastic party was prepared for the Saturday night where everybody was welcome.

Of course, we here at Narconon never want to miss a party! And we took the opportunity to go with our students on a “Saturday night out”.

This last week at Narconon Hastings our production sky rocketed and every single person here, staff and students, had been producing to the maximum. So as a reward for all the hard work, we wanted to do something special for them to validate their amazing team spirit. Their willingness to help has been invaluable and many of them have gone above and beyond expectations. We thought a party at St. Hill would be the perfect outing! And it was!

We gathered in the late afternoon in the reception at Narconon, following a busy and productive day. The air was filled with excitement as people appeared down the stairs, through the doors and from all parts of the building. Everyone present, we waved our farewells to the remaining staff that were holding the fort and began our four car convoy drive from Hastings to East Grinstead . Twisting our way through the country roads, laughing and joking all the way we finally arrived at St. Hill.

The students were in awe of the castle as we made our way to the Great Hall. They were greeted and welcomed at every turn. We enjoyed a lovely dinner whilst chatting amongst ourselves and introducing friends to our students. The entertainment began, the trifle was passed round and the coffee flowed. Stand up comedy, 1940’s ballads and Brazilian mellow music and song saw the evening underway. We were having fun amongst ourselves and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere until the tempo of the evening suddenly changed!

Our students saw for themselves what is meant by ‘Party’ to a Scientologist! They experienced what it is to embrace a variety of artistic creations from the more conservative music of 1940’s England to Egyptian belly dancing with rhythmic bongo music, to Brazilian Samba and to then be blown away by a rock drum duet who took the roof off with their beats and base……………..and if you can imagine that….…then you got it because that is exactly what the agenda presented in the show. And you should have seen their faces!..……..…..VVGI’S…………. and to prove the end product of the night here is the evidence!

We would like to thank all the staff at St.Hill for organising such an incredible event and for their warm welcome to us, ED ABLE UK for being the best personal hostess ever and the artists for sharing their talents and making it a most memorable evening for us : Mike Kennard and Julian Marks (comedy duo/singer and piano),Heidi Vogel ( singer) and fantastic guitarist, Hossam Ramzy (percussion musician) and his wife Serena (dancer) and Woody Woodmansey and his son Dan Woodmansey (percussion/drummers). And the biggest thank you to LRH for making it possible for the students of Narconon to smile again without drugs as you can see in the picture.

Best Regards,
